Hey Josh, I remember watching this trundling along, also do remember they had their own Fire trucks(land rovers if I recall) they were in a building about half way along Blyth Road

Wow! That's fantastic. I think one or two of my brothers remember the trains crossing Station Road. I think I just about remember the gates being there and possibly the rails still going across the road..... although, hang on, that's probably something else entirely isn't it, as EMI was next to the railway line. So what was the line crossing Station Road for I wonder?
