I love this picture and often wonder what the area was like when the lovely church was probably surrounded by grass and fields years ago. I am also intrigued by what looks like a lamp leaning towards the church. It looks as though it is about to fall.

Yes, you tend to forget that it wasn't always squeezed into the middle of a busy modern town (at least I do!)
