This was a very special occasion for me because we performed, for the first time in public, the Christmas Carol I had written and arranged for the choir. It is called Nativity. I remember when the audience were applauding afterwards, I was so emotional I was half smiling and half crying. To have something you have composed being sung with so much feeling by a choir, and an audience showing appreciation is a wonderful reward, isn't it, Josh?. I expect you can understand what I mean, and you would have felt the same when the children sang your own composition. Thankyou for
providing the space to add the recordings to Hayes Memories. I never thought I would be able to relive such a special occasion, and maybe there will be some people from Hayes who will enjoy the memories too and so, thankyou for listening.

I wonder if there are any more recordings of this choir, as these two make you wish there are. Marian is to be congratulated for a truly beautiful carol, and it is sung so well.

Thankyou for the kind comments. I'm sure that past TOD Choir members would be very pleased as I am too. It is unbelievable to think how many years have gone by and the Carol stored away on a tape with all the other bits and pieces of recordings in Hayes and later on. I feel I am living back in that time again now that the recordings are fresh in my mind once more. I have some more recordings of other songs from the concert which I could add later if that would be alright with everyone else.

That would be FANTASTIC!! Do you think it's better to have them in with the photos, or would you prefer a separate "album" just for recordings? It is so wonderful to have these, and you have done something fantastic by preserving all of this material in pictures and sound for us and future generations to see and hear.

This is very very beautiful.

I'm not sure if others agree, but I would think a separate album of recordings would be great.
It is just a shame that the recordings of the choir are not that good. It was only a small microphone which went with the tape recorder and it was asking a lot to pick up all the voices and a piano, especially when the microphone was placed at the altos and piano end!

I am sorry I missed saying thankyou for your last nice comment, so thankyou. I am beginning to think the recording is quite a treasure, especially when I thought it would never be played again.

The beauty of the music and the singing comes through loud and clear. It's very moving.
