Townfield Boys choir at Queens Hall, Hayes. I think it was 1956, I am at the back 5th from the right hand side. My best friend David Chinery (to date) is the first boy on the front row left side.

It is good to see a photo of a concert when the boys choirs were taking part at the Queen's Hall. I can see a young man in the front row who sang one of my songs later as an adult. He was still singing in public quite recently and had sung with the Hayes and Harlington Operatic Society. I saw him in My Fair Lady when it was on in Hayes. I wonder if any more of these boys went on to take singing or music more seriously.

That's all fascinating Marian... what's the name of the person you're referring to.

He isn't famous, Josh, (as far as I know) :-)

That doesn't matter, would just be interesting to know his name, it might trigger some interest in the future from others looking in. I saw several H&H Operatic Society musicals at the Beck in the 90s, they were absolutely superb.
