I used to go to this church for many years when I was a kid, Keith Gomes was the Minister,he was very popular with everyone, as I lived in the next street from him, he would give me a lift to church on the cross bar of his bike ! he played football with the kids, it was him who was the leading light in fund raising to build the new church across the road. Also from that time I remember Phillys and Jack Butcher, Mrs.Brown who used to play the organ, Mr Bates who gave out the Bibles on arrival.

Dad knows ALL those names you mentioned and we also have pictures with some of them in, including Mick Brown (her real name was Muriel, but she's always been known as Mick.)

Just realised, the pix I'm referring to are already on here!! For example, this one Hayes Town Chapel Mission Wood End Green corner where you can see Mrs Brown seated playing a harmonium, Keith Gomes over towards the left of the pioture. Also in the picture are Margaret Whitby and Mrs Priest.
