I am really pleased!! Thankyou so much for the picture and reminder of a part of the shopping parade I hadn't remembered. I think my small transistor radio came from Rowley's and my father must have gone in there many times being that he was so interested in radios, televisions and records.
The memory of the nextdoor newsagents is coming back too. When I think of the many times I must have either gone past the shops on the bus, or walked up there and back home, it is amazing I needed to be reminded! Good old Hayes in distant times. Thankyou again from Marian
