This was Miss Anthony's "Class I, Grade A" (Sep 1949 to Aug 1950). I've also previously posted this picture on Friends Reunited -Townfield School. That's me on the far left with the striped tie (which is now some 63 years out-of-date).

I am in the right row in the middle,wearing my Dads bracers,as my trousers were too big, and would have fallen down. those days parents bought things to last,so you would grow into them !

Besides David James (sorry David I don't remember you) the following pupils can be identified in Miss Anthony's class (she is standing along the back wall),
Christopher Berry, Christopher Purtell, John Lee, Barry Bull, Robert Whitby, Eunice Goodrem, Patricia Bennett, Tom Parfitt, Ken Holthusen, Wendy Davis, David Hambridge, Valerie Joyce, Ann Gatford, Pamela Powter, Patricia Pearson and Shelia Gwatkin.
The following pupils in Miss Anthony's class in the year 1950 cannot be identified in the picture: Brenda Wilkins, Valerie Driscoll, Derek Cattle, John Hallidy, Brenda Young, Elizabeth Newbold, Alvina Eggleton, Terry Snazel, Maurice Burchell, Paul Fountain, Kerry Froggett (thanks to the late Maurice Burchell for the list of names).
