I wonder if I could use the opportunity on here to ask if the once Uxbridge RAF bandsman who has the manuscript of this music could get in touch if he ever should look in on the Photos (and recordings). I would love to know what happened to the music and if it was ever played. Thankyou from Marian.

A good light-hearted march, and it doesn't sound all that easy to play. Wouldn't it be great if there is a recording anywhere of it being played by a band.

Wow, thankyou David! The minor section was a bit tricky and I was watching recording levels as well as playing. Piano tone never reproduced very well and sometimes sounded too 'jangly' on playback. It would be fantastic if it has ever been played. In your music composer knowledge, would you know of any other women who have composed a March (or more)? Thanks for the 10 as well. :-)

Dame Ethel Smyth (1858-1944), a supporter of the Sufragettes composed in 1911 a "March of the Women".

Do you still have a copy of the music Marian? If so, would be nice to see it. And who is playing in this recording?

I do have the manuscript somewhere, Jon. So far, I have had no luck in finding it but will search again soon.

I should have added that I found a manuscript and uploaded page 1 which is now next to the recording. It was me playing and recording the march when I had finished writing it.
