Carolyn was a lovely looking child. How old would she have been when this photo was taken?

How I loved this little girl, and her brothers, of course, but as we are nearing her birthday anniversary, memories are just especially with her. She was probably about 4 years old and I took a set of photos of her dressed like this to enter the Miss Pears competition. This was an annual contest for the Pears soap company.
Thankyou, David, for giving me the chance to share this memory because these early September days are quite difficult to face on top of all the other heartache. Contrary to the saying, time doesn't really heal and it is a test of emotional strength to find a purpose which can give us the will to carry on. Music helped me, but could never be a fully satisfying substitute for my children.

It was lovely to receive a message from an ex-Hayes resident to mark the anniversary of Carolyn's birthday. To have this message from New Zealand was heartwarming and I would like to convey my thanks here.
