That looks choppy, David. I had no idea that Harefied had places like this. I only knew it because of Harefield Hospital when it was a convalescent home and went there to visit my Gran a very long time ago. I only remember the building and grounds around it. Was that far from this spot on the photo, David?

The hospital is in the village proper up on the high ground, while the canal follows the valley of the river Colne. You would have to take the road called Park Lane from the crossroads down the hill towards West Hyde to find Copper Mill.
