Often known locally as the flea pit or the bug hutch, the Corinth had a tin roof which apparently made it hard to hear films if it was raining. The original roof was apparently damaged by a bomb.

Notice the Taylor Woodorw shop and the "show houses" sign. Taylor Woodrow built much of the housing estates either side of Lansbury Drive, around Grange Park school, on what had previously been Grange Farm. As the Taylor Woodrow shop is still there, this photo was probably taken in the 1930s.

I wonder what year this was taken ?
I remember the Corinth well but not the gardens in front of it, spent many happy hours in there.

Yes, my dad says he doesn't remember the flowers either. I've updated the description with a few more details.

I have a very distant memory of going to the Corinth. I seem to remember sitting in the very front row with my sister and Grandma. The only thing I remember, apart from that, was the song 'Two Little Girls In Blue' which Grandma sang to us, especially when I wore my favourite blue dress.
