Often known locally as the flea pit or the bug hutch, the Corinth had a tin roof which apparently made it hard to hear films if it was raining. The original roof was apparently damaged by a bomb.
Notice the Taylor Woodorw shop and the "show houses" sign. Taylor Woodrow built much of the housing estates either side of Lansbury Drive, around Grange Park school, on what had previously been Grange Farm. As the Taylor Woodrow shop is still there, this photo was probably taken in the 1930s.
