There is a really shiny gloss to this picture and the colouring is more cream and grey with just a hint of brown on the road. (right hand corner).
If it is the church in Windsor, and I am not sure, it would be quite near to where my Grandmother lived and so the picture is very interesting to me for several reasons.

Looking at the photos on Google Earth, this looks very much like the Trinity Church. The road layout is slightly different but obviously this is a very old picture. Where did it come from?

I'll be really pleased if it is. I was beginning to think it isn't because the spire looks lower than in another picture I saw today. Because the picture is of the side of the church it is hard to compare with other pictures taken from a different angle. I was able to match up the wall and railings but then, they could be like those around other churches.
I love the picture and found it in an antique shop. The writing on the back made it even more interesting and so I couldn't leave the shop without it! :-)
Thankyou for looking for the church on Google Earth. :-)

There's a photo of the Trinity Church on Google Earth which shows that the tower and spire together are as tall as the main body of the church. It all looks very graceful.

Although there are several similarities, it can't be Holy Trinity Windsor... just had a look and the spires are quite different. :-(

You're right. So too is the apse at the end on the right of the pic. Unless the church has had a major rebuild since the pic above was taken, it has to be other than Holy Trinity.
