This memorial used to stand outside St. Andrews Gate, at the junction of Park Road, High Street and Hillingdon Road. Park Road passed either side of it, and a long zebra crossing went behind it. The site is now the roundabout outside that gate.

When we used to go to the Regal in Uxbridge on the bus for Saturday morning pictures, we knew we were nearly there once we saw the statue.
Thankyou for a great picture and am glad the statue has been preserved.

Excellent picture, thanks. I remember all the building going on around there when I was 6 and started piano lessons with Mrs Phyllis Matthews in nearby Hows Road..
