The gardens were photographed in April 1967, and the roundabout in May this year. With the latter pic, if I had stood where I stood for the earlier pic, I would have been run over. I don't think I was facing in precisely the same direction either.

So is the roundabout where the garden was?

I'm afraid so. I took the photo of the garden from just inside the entrance gate at the end of the footbridge across the Frays River. There was a gate from the Fassnidge Park across the riverside path from the bridge.
