The Regal was an ABC cinema that also had a ballroom that was available to hire e.g. for formal dinners. The cinema was also the venue for two Uxbridge Festivals, in 1963 and 1965. In the 50's they showed films on Saturday mornings for children.

Thanks for the 10 stars and the compliment. I wonder if anyone else visited the Regal for something other than a film. I attended a formal dinner once organised by St. Andrew's Church, and I went to concerts to both the Uxbridge Festivals of the Sixties. Artists included the pianist John Ogden, and the Hallé Orchestra with Barbirolli. There were also concerts put on by Uxbridge schools. Can anyone else remember them?
