Is that in the old Civic Hall Marian, which I think was through an archway behind the shops in Station Road?

I'm not really sure where this was and have always thought it was in the Hayes End area. Now you mention it, though, and noticing the window-frames, it could be the old Civic Hall. I just about remember the occasion because the decision had to be made quickly for Ann to change into Vivienne's dress and deputise for her. I remember, as well, the two people on the photo who were so pleased to have the photo taken. It was just after the Hayes Carnival, and is a very nice memory.

If it was the Hayes End area, maybe one of the back rooms of the Methodist Church?

Just a thought Marian, as the Carnival always ended up at the park, could it have been in the function room of the Town Hall ?

I don't remember it being at either of those places but, as I seem to be suffering a memory loss, it could have been. In my efforts to remember, I keep thinking it could have been a narrow room/building around the park area. I don't remember a journey before the event. Hopefully, the mist will clear and thankyou for the ideas.
Also, thankyou from me to everyone who are replacing, and adding, so many marvellous photos. Marian.
