You're welcome, Josh. It seems to me that it is not just a disaster, but a tragedy too, that so many wonderful photos have gone. I hope that I can, in time, replace the pictures I had uploaded and ask that other posters can try to do the same. I, for one, miss the Galleries and I'm sure many more do too.. Thanks for setting up a new picture gallery and for all the hard work and time it must be taking to get everything into place. Thankyou again, Marian.

I second Marian's comments. To have lost so many interesting and historic pictures is a great pity. I'll try and re-upload some of mine, beginning perhaps with one of the school choir of Mellow Lane.

Great by the way to have a picture of Ossie Garvin, such a well known member of the political scene in Hayes of that era. The roundabout at the junction of Uxbridge Road and the Hayes bypass is named after him.
