A&E departments at four out of the nine hospitals covering NW London are set to close to "improve the service given" (uh??)

Which four has not been decided, but Hillingdon is safe for now. However, before we all get too smug and think 'what's it got to do with us?' Ealing's A&E is one that maybe cut, so residents from Ealing & surrounding areas will have to use neighborung hospitals. Those who may choose (or be directed to) Hillingdon include those from:

West Ealing
Hanwell,
Southall
Greenford,
Perivale,
Brentford,
Osterly,
Norwood Green
and Northolt

Most of these accident victims will come and join the queue at our spacious and efficient (not) casualty. Can you imagine the waiting times? The lack of public transport from places such as Perivale will create pressure in parking at and around the Hospital.

So if you are gunna be ill or have an accident do it now !

The usual course would be to call an ambulance asap if a stroke is suspected....

Clearly there is a need to cut costs hence the action......

And to free up funds for the £10 billion loan to the IMF.

Thanks Geezer. Now I know the cuts are to help Greece and other countries continue to prop up their broken and bent economies, I feel much better about the A&E cuts and would be happy if there was only one A&E in central London if it were to help our European neighbours. After all, they'd do the same for us :)

Check the wording of the ESFS treaty (video in the other thread) for how desperate these people are about keeping this juggernaut on course. Our political masters would close every A&E if they needed the money to would further their cause...

Call me cynical if you like but there are very good reasons as to why they have used terminology like to demand total immunity from every form of judicial process or independent scrutiny whilst demanding the right to instruct member Governments send whatever sums it wants is very definitely not in the interests of European citizens!! This is bloody outrageous and the treaty wording is a matter of public disclosure. So any and everyone can read and make their own minds up about the document.

It is totally undemocratic and yet the people of Europe are not getting any voice at all as to whether they want it or not!! Cameron had very good reasons to wield the veto to keep us out of it and we can now see why he did.

The EU and the institutions which make it up are totally and absolutely corrupt, yet there are still some in this Country who would tell us that membership of this shower is essential for the well being of the UK.

What are a few Accident and Emergency units to them?

Great Video SOT.... I enjoyed that particularly the end where the member called them all scoundrels!! :D

Of course taking it back to the original post, these politicians who waste all this money by spending beyond their means for years on end will never need to worry about an A&E department, their healthcare needs will be well taken care of outside of what the general population has to endure...
