This morning

Same place, between H&H and West Drayton, just out of H&H by platform 1.

Very sad.

Let's be careful about guessing the cause, as the last fatality here was a known graffiti artist and may have been killed practising his art.

The reason I got an early heads-up was that a family member was at H&H at the time (07:20).

Was just walking down the stairs when the fast train was heard to apply the brakes quite hard and the train came to a stop down the line.

The station announcement soon after informed everyone to seek alternative routes.

I feel sorry for the train driver and the staff who have to deal with it after the person has "ended it all". I can only imagine how that poor driver must have felt watching it happen.

RIP whoever you were .........

My uncle had one job from the time he left school until he retired that was on the underground, started as a boy, doing the jobs that youngsters did in those days, went through the system and finished up as a driver, he had many suicides under his train, he finished up just shunting them about at Acton until he finally retired, his son (my cousin) also only had the one job, and finished up as Stationmaster at Amersham, so there must be something about the job that attracts. :o :)
