I'm considering changing my Honeywell wi-fi thermostat & programmer that deals with my hot water & heating for a Nest or Hive. I've looked at both in the shop but which one is the best, ie easier to use? Anyone got any thoughts on the subject? |

I've not looked at either because my Johnson & Starley unit isn't compatible with either. However, put any annual subscription into the equation. |

I'm very pleased with the Nest, I can sit in a coffee shop in the town centre and adjust the temperature from my phone although it automatically learns your coming & going habits and adjusts the hearing accordingly. A smart piece of kit and, (so far), very easy to use. |

Why, would you want to adjust the temperature in the Coffee shop? |

Being as my warm air system isn't Smartphone compatible with any App I just have 2 Netgear ArloQ security cameras to see if anyone enters when my phone isn't on the premises. Works via geolocation and sends an alert if it's triggered. |

Reasons I might perhaps want to remotely change my home heating temperature from a coffee shop Robongar: 1) I want to return home to a warm house (say coming back from holiday) 2) my wife has turned the heating up whilst at home and I can turn it down remotely (only joking!) |
