Happy days in a quieter era. Uxbridge when it was a through road. Sad that I can identify all those old cars. |

Just a bit before my driving. When cars were cars. I really did like the PA Cresta with the fins and wraparound windscreen. Vauxhall in better days. |

Great to see Uxbridge as it was, I was born and lived in York Avenue Hayes but spent a lot of my time in Uxbridge went to Saturday morning pictures at the Odeon, purchased my first motor bike from Miles Motors a BSA Bantam and my last a Triumph Tiger 110, a friend who lived in Lancaster Walk still rides one he purchased in 1960 it still carries the Miles Motors stickers on the mud guards. Seeing Burtons opposite the market again, I, like a lot of our youth spent hours in the upstairs hall watching groups and dancing to their music, one of the best being Cliff Bennett. Three of the group going on to be Chas and Dave, Mick Burt being the Drummer sadly Mick passed away a couple of years ago Was married at Uxbridge registry office in1968, 49 years on glad to say still married to the same girl Oh the happy days of youth Thank you for the video |

Ahhh...my earliest memories of Uxbridge. I had just started piano lessons in 2 How's Road (aged 6!) Remember the Uxbridge Road dualled and all the building work and rubble around the Marjacks area. |
