I found an interesting website recently, www.closedpubs.co.uk

I find it very sad that so many pubs have closed down, it is a lot of local history gone as well as a lot of my misspent youth! I have added the Pear Tree in Dawley Road and the Vine in Angel Lane. The person who is putting all this together can only do it with the help of the public and would really like to have some photos of local pubs that have gone. Can anybody on these boards help?

As I grew up living in Wood End Green Road I am interested what has become of the Queens Head/Grange. All I can find online is details of its sale a couple of years ago. Can anyone tell me what it is now?

The funny thing is, I'm not a pubby person at all, but even I feel sad when I see yet another one gone to wrack and ruin, or gone completely. Shows the power of nostalgia!
