Ha ha, dad's sister has been up from Weymouth, and yesterday dad started singing a couple of songs he's always remembered from when he was at Townfield. I think the teacher was a Mrs Allen. One of them is something about the moon creeping past the window each night. In the end, he mum and Aunty Peggy were all singing the songs. Goes to show how you remember things from your schooldays....they've remembered these songs since the 1930s!!

I should have made a recording. Maybe I'll have to get him to reprise his performance.

We think Aunty Peggy is the girl standing in the back left corner in this piccy....

Can't open the link but was the teacher a bloke called something like Mr. Hulla - Brown?
We had him in the late 40's.
