Looking for Joseph Goodall, Pinkwell school 1942 and lived at a house corner of Cherry Lane now all gone, I think now in Oz. Also Tony Hopkins, Repton Ave untill about 1956, moved to West Drayton I think. Both pals as kids played over the Moats for years.

GOODALL, JOSEPH (1760–1840), provost of Eton, was born 2 March 1760. He was elected to King's College, Cambridge, from Eton in 1778. He gained Browne's medals in 1781 and 1782, and the Craven scholarship in 1782. He graduated B.A. in 1783 and M.A. in 1786. In 1783 he became a fellow of his college and assistant-master at Eton. In 1801 he was appointed head-master of the school, which preserved its numbers and reputation under him.

Probably a bit overqualified for Pinkwell (would have done well at Townfield though) and a bit before Rexy's time.

My cousin, Joan Mills , married a Hopkins about that era; I think his name was Tony but not positive as they divorced after only a short marriage.

Message No.242. posted 9 Jan 2012 on Yahoo, indicates a person by the name of JGoodall1937@.... was alive and well in the area. Must have caught a fast train from Oz . Could this be the missing Joseph Goodall ?
