Not Redknapp or Shearer or Linekar then ?

They all have a great deal to say/criticise on a Saturday afternoon

Of that particular three, Shearer would get my vote, although with system we now have Linekar would be a good front man to present the decisions of the committee. :D    as it is we have to have a manager, who is not allowed to manage. :( :( :(

It's all politics as usual, like the old saying - Brian Clough, the best manager England never had.

They will want a 'yes' man.

Clough'y was very much his own man, so was never seriously considered by the FA, the peoples choice maybe! but whenever has that been a consideration? lets be honest their are millions out here who know best, but the FA as it stands know what sort of person they would prefer, and if they have a name in football, would be their second consideration, maybe the time has come for them to stop digging, as the hole is getting deeper, and they will have to go with public demand, a free thinking, free speaking, proven track record, available person. the problem is all managers have become used to having to put up, and shut up, this is where Capello failed. :o ;)
