In the 1970s, Marian wrote a beautiful Christmas carol for the T.O.D. women's choir she was a member of in Hayes. There is a recording in our photo galleries.

The good news is, you can now hear a version being sung this Christmas by a school in Surrey, with me accompanying on the keyboard. This performance was for the old folk on the estate where my dad lives. Hope you enjoy...

This was such good news. I haven't been able to download the videos successfully to hear the performance(s) sadly but hope the problem can be sorted. I heard the children singing on mp3 and that was lovely.
Thankyou, Jon, for posting and hope you can work out why the videos are not working properly.
All Best Wishes
Marian

Thankyou, Rich Kid. I was not sure whether it means the plug-in is for everyone or whether it's something I need to fix.

I see that the recording can be heard on mp3 but over the top it has the name of a choir in Tewkesbury, but it is the Frimley

Church of England primary school children singing.

Also, I see that the site is still referred to as Not Secure. Could the http and https have something to do with it.?

I hope it doesn't get too technical so that I will be out of my depth :-)

At least it's lovely to hear the recording and have been able to see the video but with sound cutting out occasionally.

It was such a surprise to hear the carol after such a long time.

Just to say, lastly, that I wrote the carol in the early 70's and not as far back as the 50's. I did write a carol at the

time of being at Mellow Lane School but it wasn't Nativity.

Thankyou to anyone who may listen.

Marian

Hurrah! Have been able to view and listen to Nativity sung by both the children's choir and the adult church choir. No problems now so fingers crossed.

What an amazing Christmas present. So unexpected.

Thankyou very much to both choirs and not forgetting the arranger and keyboard player.

Hope to be able to listen again soon.

Marian :-)

Just to say the carol was sung on other occasions too, but not recorded including at the school's Christmas Fair and when the children sang carols at a care home.

That's good news. Thankyou! Would have loved to have been there to hear all the performances! I know I would have been moved by each and every one (and recorded them to listen to again!)
Staff at the hospital found the video and recording and a group of them, with visitors gathered round to listen. They sent congratulations and compliments so thankyou, again, for making it all possible. The keyboard arrangement sounded very good. (Thumbs up)

A Happy New Year to Jon and everyone.

Marian
