I received sad news of a past Mellow Lane pupil, St Andrews Choir member and in these days of being members of WESTLONDONCHAT, a loyal, reliable friend. He will be missed, and Friday afternoons when he presented the Classical Concert on hospital radio won't be the same without his distinctive voice and interesting programmes.
He made the programme entertaining and educational, having a great knowledge of Classical music.
RIP David :-(

Marian, I'm so sorry I have only just seen this. My sincere condolences to you and davrob's friends and relatives.

Thankyou, Kremmen. David was such a quiet, unassuming person but wise and knowledgeable. He was always there to offer and give help and gave much of his time to hospital radio. I always thought his photography was good and he posted quite a few photos he had taken in and around Uxbridge on the Photos Galleries. He was modest and always a gentleman with an interesting background of his boyhood when his father was in the RAF. Although he had a health problem, he never complained.
I miss him, as many others will and I thank you again for acknowledging the sad news after I posted it. :-( Marian

Life is real,
Life is earnest,
And the grave is not the goal;
"Dust thou art, to dust returnest"
Was not spoken of the soul.
