Sorry for another thread on this topic, however, after hearing about the comments that were posted on the first thread i thought i should put things straight.

I work in Tesco and was at the scene throughout.

On the 5th of September there was a large RTC in the rear of the car park. Six vehicles were involved and consequently highly damaged. This happened at roughly half twelve in the afternoon. Emergency services were called, treated casualties and took statements. The op and her husband are long and loyal customers at Tesco and despite the accident have continued to shop here.

Thankyou

As straight as possible without going into details.

What I've never got to grips with is how can you have a significant RTC in a supermarket car park ?

Unless it involved the idiots we sometimes get in the old Comet car park who use it as a racetrack ?

My insurance company wanted to write my car off due to an accident in Sainsbury's in Slough a couple of years ago. A guy wasn't concentrating and hit my car broadside. Luckily my husband managed to talk the assessor into letting me keep the car and I didn't even have to pay any excess on the claim.

It can happen :)

I saw a collision in Lombardy earlier this year and came very very close to having one myself last weekend.

Yes, I've seen near misses and the odd clang but this must have been something else with that number of cars.
