There are just a few days left to take part in a nationwide survey which will help Butterfly Conservation 'revive the countryside' etc.
Sir David Attenborough is the Butterfly Conservation President.
All that is required is to spend 15 minutes in the sunshine and log your sightings of any butterflies or moths which may go fluttering by or settle on flowers in the garden or park.
The survey ends on the 5th August.

So how many did we all see??

There's an area of the estate my folks live on which is deliberately left to wildflowers. We were walking past it yesterday and they were COVERED in bees and ..... butterflies! Shows how important it is to leave some areas to grow wild.

Since the weather has turned sunny and warm, I have seen more, mainly white and yellow. A Red Admiral or Peacock has been seen here and I am sorry to have missed it as either of those are so lovely. It is a shame that the survey ended before the better weather arrived.
