I feel sorry for the people up north flooded out on successive days.

Must be horrible.

Hello Kremmen, I hope you and yours are keeping well.

It's certainly been grim up north and the folks affected have my sympathy. To a lesser extent it's been quite grim down here on the South Coast recently with a stationary low pressure system sending never ending bands of heavy rain through the English Channel and further inland.

The A21 was closed today for several hours due to flooding, and many of the roads around here are a mess.

The signs are that a spell of drier weather is on the way, and for that I would be grateful.

Ah the old A21 to Rye.

We've got away with it quite lightly compared to some.

Greetings to anyone who is still reading and/or posting on this website, and this topic ( Weather ) in particular.

I would like to renew the topic if there is enough interest so all comments welcome. Plenty of potentially interesting weather in store for the next 48 hours in our region it seems.

Sorry Moley, only just spotted this. Well....it's been a VERY good summer!! It went out with a bang though and it was fascinating watching it live on a lightning mapping website as the storm raged around us. It was very accurate. Sadly, at one point, it knocked out our broadband and we still haven't got it back!!!
