Brian - I am sorry to say this mate, but none of us are interested about enjoying Christmas on the beach, Eating a BBQed Xmas lunch in the garden or enjoying cold beers in the shade. The idea of having a dip in the pool or sea sounds dull compared with wiping the condensation from the kitchen window to see if there's any chance for a post meal stroll (with your new cagoules and wellies on)

Can you please stop posting such messages as most people like the rain, sleet, frost, fog, snow and gales which accompany a British Xmas, along with the man flu and norovirus and other nasty winter bugs, not forgetting the perennial strikes and transport chaos.

Thank you ;)

Talking of snow and the complaint you hear from Brits who say that other countries don't have the same problems as us as they are better prepared, have a look at this story: A 150 mile jam in Russia where truckers were trapped 3 days with little to no fuel and food

Good call Batty bat. Heres an example of 'thundersnow'.

There was a clip on You Tube of a similar ' Thundersnow' event at Heathrow, but that seems to have been removed :(

Well, we have a "White Christmas"
I'm sure most of you are sitting back after eating all that turkey, I'm just putting mine in the oven.

Merry Christmas all

Turkey, prawns, chicken, ham, salads, trifle, mince pies, and a few beers followed by a dip in the pool.
