I note in the latest Gazette that the roadworks in Coldharbour Lane is stage 1 of 3.

Once complete Station Road will be open to buses and cars.

About time they saw sense. If the By-Pass has issues, like every day, then there is an alternative route without almost having to drive to Hillingdon or Southall.

One other thing I've noticed for ages but only just reminded myself yesterday when on a U4. The bit of road between what was the Golden Cross and Hayes Town has cars parked both sides on a high usage bus route. As usual the buses can't get through for ages because no one ever gives way or has the common sense to stop short to allow the bus through. Why on earth don't they double yellow line one side?

Great news. The town should never have been closed to through traffic. And it's insane that the bridge in Printing House Lane is artificially kept to one lane.
