We've also got the Asian fruit shops sprawling out across the pavement again, more so now it's wider.

In hindsight they should have made it one way, northbound, with Crown Close being southbound.

When you see the parking of some vehicles, 2 foot from the kerb stopping traffic passing each other it needs sorting. Paint double yellow lines outside of the parking bays and ticket people who don't park inside them.

Sorted.

I witnessed as a child the changes to an adjacent town where the traders would take over the pavements, the streets with their cars, ignore parking and traffic rules, ignoring other road users by double parking, stopping to chat to mates. Now that Hayes has been opened up, I am witnessing it all over again and the town will become a twin, slowly segregating itself. Apart from mini supermarket names, why are big business and familiar names ignoring Hayes Town? My opinion is that they stay away because the customers are not there and they will not come, ever

I don't understand why it attracts so many people. There's nothing there that warrants the traffic hassle they must have trying to park.

Pedestrianisation ruined Hayes Town. Also in the past there was lots of free parking, on streets, at the swimming pool and in Pump Lane. All that's left now is a small part of the parking in Pump Lane which of course you have to pay for. Councils all over Europe have wilfully destroyed their shopping centres over the past 20-30 years. Insane.
