According to the traffic management orders for the Olympic route network
you can enter the Olympic lane "so as to avoid an obstruction in the immediate
vicinity of an accident or incident".Hope TFL have told all the cctv operators.

Don't tend to hear much about this kind of thing outside London. What are the actual rules regarding the Olympics Lane?

As I was driving home from work at 6am this morning they were just installing the Olympic Lane on the A30 at Heathrow. The bottom half of Joel Street ( Northwood Hills/Eastcote ) is being re-surfaced from today. At least the M4 has re-opened this morning, not that I use it for my journey to and from work.

There's even an Olympic Lane out near Egham!!! Goodness alone knows what all this road painting (and unpainting afterwards) costs!

well , i have to drive in London most weeks , i am dreading it
my company , make us all pay our fines
its getting harder to tell what to do now up there
i went down a street to get to the back of a building , saw there was no rear entrance , and drove out , got a fine for not stopping
as it was an unloading access , street only
was told if i had got out of my van i would have been ok , or if i had dropped someone off .
cost me £65
So next time when i stopped to read the road signs , i got a fine for stopping on a red rout

have you seen this picture?

http://www.lbc.co.uk/confusing-olympic- ... lane-57235

I can just imagine the confusion - you're happily driving along and the road splits into two lanes - one is a bus lane and the other an Olympic Lane

What a dilemma! Which lane would you go in?
