Attended the wedding on Thursday of my best friend who I've known since we started at Mellow Lane when we were 11.
She is 70 and her new husband is 78! And it was the best wedding I've ever been to!
It was held in a hotel overlooking the sea in Newquay in Cornwall where we stayed for two days.
We were invited to join the couple for dinner the evening before, laid on on for the guests who had come from out of the county.
The food was out of this world.
We didn't know anyone, but everyone was so friendly that we soon felt we'd known most of them forever!
Also I couldn't believe it when we were looking at the seating plan for the wedding meal, and saw that we were sitting with the bride and groom! And I got a mention in the groom's speech!

Not any of my business mind. But, I wonder what the groom had to say about you. The mind boggles

Nothing embarrassing Batty! (My friend wouldn't have allowed him to let out our teenage secrets!)

He was just saying about seeing old friends & how pleased my friend was to see me again & how far we go back. :D
