Excellent stuff! Slightly misleading in parts, but then it was a Govt information film!

Interesting to see the demolition guys with pick axes balancing on roofs and the fella at the end balancing on the aircraft wing as it was being towed backwards. No H&S then, and it shows!!

I remember seeing and hearing the Brabazon, we were in class at Harlington/ New Road school, we all rushed to the window with teachers permission, must of been about 1949, also the Comet warming up in the mornings could hear it from Carlton Ave, then Dad heard about the motorway coming thru, noticed too many visitors around town and said we are out of here, and we moved to Hayling island, that was a cultural shock, but for the good.

I think it was 1950 for the Brabazon, I went over on my roller skates.

I recall the Babrazon doing test flights into London Airport, being a plane spotter, such joy to recall the days when aircraft had things that went round & round, recall day first Trident came into service & hearing one of the older ones saying, look at that everyone knows four screws are better than three suck & blows, how right he was.

Does anyone recall the think it was a Sunday, a Indian Air Force aircraft on route for Northolt, got lost, tried to land on the old Yeading School Playing Field, wheels clipped the school chimney, must have made into Northolt in the end.

Thanks a lot, you bring back all the good memories, look forward to plenty more for you.
