Have heard reporters are being laid off & only Uxbridge is left in the area, will not belong before that folds, where is the Hayes News printed in Clayton Road gone.

Local newspapers were struggling back in the 80s and 90s because of fierce competition from freesheets. But since then they've suffered the twin onslaught of the internet and a massive change in the population. My guess is communities that have replaced the indigenous population aren't so accustomed to buying a local rag.
