Whatever the outcome Greece is in deep poo, wars are obsolete, and they will have to settle, in or out of the Eurozone, a lot depends on the resolve of the Germans to remain as top dogs they failed to achieve in WW2. as said they lost the war, but are winning the peace hands down, we in the meanwhile have no hope as the mindset of open borders letting in millions more to ponce off the state will remain out in the cold soaking up the dregs of humanity, sold up the river by Tony Blair and co, we just cant afford Labour administration, borrow, borrow, borrow, it will get a Hell of a lot worse before it gets any better, and some thing I recall from some bible lesson or other at school the sins of our fathers, etc etc. ;) ;)

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/debt-crisis-live/9278960/Debt-crisis-live.html

Quote:
11.04 Reuters has reported that the failed talks to form a coalition in Greece on May 17 were "a complete madhouse".

"Gentlemen, we are finished," said the patrician President, calling an abrupt halt to two hours of baiting and cat-calling between furious Greek politicians. "I'm starting to get upset myself now. We are finished."

"It was a complete madhouse," a source at the socialist PASOK party told Reuters after their leader, Evangelos Venizelos, returned from the May 17 showdown. "The discussion was unbelievable."

Reuters also offered an insight into what Brussels thought of the failed talks.

"Pythagoras didn't manage to square the circle and God knows these guys don't know how to either," said one EU diplomat, echoing widespread sentiment in European capitals.

"The Greeks seem to have no understanding of the seriousness of their predicament and that is a great source of frustration. There's a breaking point and I think we're getting close to it."

Still think these parties can and will work together once the next election is over and the anti austerity parties have increased their mandate?

mmm depends on the mentality of the Greek people, like most the fear factor the left preach, or the optimism of the right, so who does square the circle, idealology or common sence? that the $64,000 question. ;) ;)

Nigel Farage is a lot closer to the machinery than most of us, and he has his opinion where all this is heading, and it is similar to mine:

http://kingworldnews.com/kingworldnews/ ... rship.html
Quote:
Nigel Farage - There Will Be an Attempt to Install a Dictatorship
Quote:
What these guys in the EU are going to try to do is, as this crisis gets worse and descends, there will be an attempt at some point in the next few months for them to set up something that will be very like a dictatorship.  I’m not sure now, with the public mood, that they will get away with it ... the similarities (to the 30s) are really rather chilling.”

Here is another indicator of where we are heading:
http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/318 ... ap-Britain
Quote:
SENIOR Eurocrats are secretly plotting to create a super-powerful EU president to realise their dream of abolishing Britain, we can reveal.
Quote:
The new bureaucrat, who would not be directly elected by voters, is set to get sweeping control over the entire EU and force member countries into ever-greater political and economic union.

Tellingly, the UK has been excluded from the confidential discussions within the shady “Berlin Group” of Europhile politicians, spearheaded by German foreign minister Guido Westerwelle.

Opponents fear the plan could create a modern-day equivalent of the European emperor envisaged by Napoleon Bonaparte or a return to the Holy Roman Empire of Charlemagne that dominated Europe in the Dark Ages.
They are concerned that David Cameron’s coalition Government is doing nothing to prevent the sinister plot. The secret talks were uncovered by Independent Labour peer Lord Stoddart of Swindon.

“This is a plot by people who want to abolish nation states and create a United States of Europe,” he said.
“The whole thing is barmy. These people are determined to achieve their final objective.”

Ah yes the Express..

No dis-respect to your view Westonman but you have not quoted this paper in here before save the last couple of days.
We must be very suspect of the views of this paper which panders to popular opinion other than fact evidenced by their headlines regarding property which are frankly laughable in the last couple of years or so..

The Express wiki page tells you everything you need to know about this excuse for a newspaper....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daily_Express

Quote:
In 2000, Express Newspapers was bought by Richard Desmond, publisher of a range of titles including the celebrity magazine OK!. Controversy surrounded the acquisition because, at the time, Desmond also owned a number of pornographic magazines such as Big Ones and Asian Babes.. He is still the owner of the most popular pornographic television channel in the UK, Television X. Desmond's purchase of the paper led to the departure of many staff including the then editor, Rosie Boycott, and columnist Peter Hitchens moved to The Mail on Sunday, stating that he could not morally work for a newspaper owned by a pornographer.

The Bruges Group has published this document identifying the financial risk to the UK:
http://www.brugesgroup.com/EuropeanInvestmentBank.pdf

The UK's risk and exposure to European Investment Bank and other European investments mechanisms:

This one quote from page 5 of the above document should inspire concern:
Quote:
The UK has Maximum Possible Loss of €149.2 billion on current capital and
commitments to the institutions involved in the financing of the EU and the euro
.
That does not include any exposure through the International Monetary Fund.

I re-quote from Labour peer Lord Stoddart:
Quote:

“This is a plot by people who want to abolish nation states and create a United States of Europe,” he said.
“The whole thing is barmy. These people are determined to achieve their final objective.

I would have expected a powerful and public denial from Lord Stoddart if he had been wrongly quoted – Daily Express or not.

As for my not quoting from the Express before, I don't know whether I have or not. But when this story was first published by the Express, I recall seeing the same report picked up by other papers too. I thought at the time that this report deserved far wider recognition and attention than it was receiving. The report certainly fits with the behaviour of the whole of the EU elite.
