Here is the piece in Full some users outside of the UK may not be able to get to it.

Quote:
How the lies on global warming snowballed

From The Independent, Monday, March 20, 2000, a story headlined: ‘Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past.’

It quoted Dr David Viner, head of the climate unit at the University of East Anglia, as saying that in future: ‘Children just aren’t going to know what snow is.’

That would be the same Dr David Viner whose department was accused of suppressing the existence of evidence casting doubt on global warming.
The coldest winter in 30 years: Far from being a thing of the past, snowfalls are still very much with us

The coldest winter in 30 years: Far from being a thing of the past, snowfalls are still very much with us

Thirteen years ago, the global warming gravy train was only just getting into gear. Since then we’ve lived through a decade of global cooling.

Far from being a thing of the past, snowfalls are still very much with us. This has been the coldest winter in 30 years.

Rather than admit they were wrong, the so-called ‘experts’ simply changed the rules. Out went ‘global warming’, in came ‘climate change’.

The Government’s outgoing chief scientist was yesterday still insisting that the world is heating up.
Dr David Viner was quoted in a story in The Independent back in 2000 saying: 'Children just aren't going to know what snow is'

When confronted with evidence to the contrary, he tried hilariously to argue that the weather we are currently experiencing is being caused by all the carbon we released into the atmosphere 25 years ago.

Yep, the snow which has Britain in its grip this week has been a quarter of a century in the making.

If you believe that, you’ll believe anything. Actually, the global warming, sorry ‘climate change’ head-bangers will believe anything which reinforces their zealotry.

Unshakeable faith in ‘climate change’ is now the official religion of the Met Office, Whitehall, the EU, the UN and the BBC.

We are all paying for this lunacy through our gas and electricity bills, which are inflated by heavy subsidies for inefficient and ludicrously expensive ‘green’ energy sources.

In the name of saving the planet, our countryside and coastline have been scarred by useless wind farms. Meanwhile, India and China open another coal-fired power station every five minutes. We are closing perfectly good power stations to meet arbitrary EU carbon targets.

Soon this bovine stupidity will lead to the lights going out across the country. It is industrial and economic suicide.

At the weekend we came dangerously close to running out of gas. Yet Britain is sitting on a bottomless well of shale gas just waiting to be exploited. Shale has transformed America and slashed energy bills.

But ministers remain in thrall to the eco-maniacs and the greedy spivs of the ‘green’ energy industry, growing fat by fleecing consumers as an instrument of government policy, which is still being dictated by the deluded, lying fanatics who told us 13 years ago: ‘Snowfalls are a thing of the past.’

Every joule of carbon based energy dug out of the ground WILL be burned, and crippling our economies so that the Indians and the Chinese and the Americans can burn our share is childish and stupid. You either cut emission at a world level or don't bother at all.

All the Government is doing is impoverishing us to pay for this pipe dream whilst everyone else carries on as before!!

Sadly; it isn't a pipe-dream. These fanatics know precisely what they are doing – their end-game includes a drastic reduction in the human population by whatever means they can get away with. Theft, killing and destruction are all part of the plan. We are all experiencing the 'theft' in the rapid devaluation of our money and the constant increases in taxes (Cypriots now know what it is to have their bank accounts openly plundered). The economy is well on the way to being destroyed – as are many people's lives. And we are now seeing the very early signs of the death-rate ramping up.

Lurking behind the not-so-well-hidden-scenes is an official love of death. The experiments began in Nazi German, Communist Russian, and Chinese death camps. It then spread to legalised abortion of unborn children in the West. Now the open talk is of euthanasia of the sick and elderly in our own society – with the latest example being the Liverpool Care Pathway to death (and don't forget the NHS 'failures' under Sir David Nicholson). The raising of the retirement age is all part of the same plan to increase the death-rate. Unaffordable energy supplies will undoubtedly and significantly increase the death-rate – which is the intention.

These appropriate words from John Chapter 10, verse 10, at this Easter time have a particularly vibrant ring of truth for the days in which we are living: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

It is time to stop placing trust in corrupt low empathy people-hating politicians, and look to the only Saviour who has a verifiable record of Truth and Power.

Excellent piece in the Telegraph this morning about how additional energy taxes are killing the elderly...

It’s the cold, not global warming, that we should be worried about
No one seems upset that in modern Britain, old people are freezing to death as hidden taxes make fuel more expensive

So the Government is more interested in ring fencing the overseas aid budget than they are about raising cold weather payments to some of the most vulnerable in our society?

Look on it like this. There is a pensions crisis in this Country if through indirect policy the Government are able to reduce the pensions bill by having to pay less then all well and good. Of course they will never come out and say such a thing but be in no doubt this is how they structure policy.

Another example. A quick google of Liverpool Care Pathway will throw up a very worrying policy direction that the NHS is destined to move towards in the near future.

And the debacle surrounding many failing hospitals Stafford in particular, how many people have been prosecuted for the deaths? Could it possibly be they wish no precedents in law to be set?

As most of us are aware, the 'one-time' Communist, Sir David Nicholson, is the Head of the NHS, where the death-rate has become a criminal disgrace. David Cameron has expressed his full confidence in this Head of the NHS. From Cameron's confidence, it is only possible to conclude that the NHS death-rates are going in the right direction for Cameron. Which should tell us an awful lot about Cameron, the NHS, and the political elite. It is appearing as though these people don't even reach the point of being 'low empathy'. I know it isn't popular to reckon on 'evil' these days. But an NHS that deliberately denies patients essential food and water, where nobody is brought to justice, has already crossed the Rubicon into the domain of evil.

I Grew up when MPs were referred as right honourable gentleman, in a time when they worked for us, and expenses were to make good any out of pocket losses to do their job, now they are paid more than ever, it has become an exclusive club, for the few who have latched on to the easy pickings to be had, as with the Tories we knew they worked the system, but now the others have all caught on, and we the general public have no alternative, as we are the ready made excuse for their failures, and they call it democracy. we need a clever honest man/woman to grab the bull by the horns, to turn it around, that as I see it is the main problem, too many ideologies that clash, but masquerade under the banner democracy, the nearest we came in modern times, was Churchill during WW2, then the Country stood together as one, to defeat a common enemy, now there are too many common enemies, so we have become a nation of moaners, doomed on the world stage. :o
