Joey Barton:
The Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has likened UKIP to the best-looking of "four ugly girls", as he made his debut appearance on Question Time.

He made the comment during a heated exchange with the newly elected UKIP MEP Louise Bours, but later apologised for the remark.

It's really come to something when the prospect of a bag average QPR midfielder running the show doesn't sound so bad after all. :D

And when institutions like the BBC expect me to pay £130.00 a year so I can listen to the political opinions of an thuggish, convicted no mark footballer.

What qualification does Barton have to have been invited onto the show?

No criticism of your artistic abilities old feller my venom is reserved for Barton and the BBC.

I find it very disturbing when they can dish the dirt on UKIP doing everything they can to discredit them prior to the election and then invite that no mark on as if his opinion is something we should be thankful off.

I don't have much time for the Greens or the Communist party of the UK but I would rather see them on QT as they genuinely represent some people as they garner votes from them.

I do not hold any candles or support for the EDL, the BNP or the NF. But again they probably have more right to be represented on that panel as anyone else.

Slewing the topic slightly, many have felt unrepresented over the last few years as a vote against Government policy on immigration has meant voting for one of these three parties. UKIP has now filled that void and done it in a respectable way. Many myself includes found they could vote for UKIP and have their voice heard and not one of the 3 overtly racist parties mentioned.

This is why I think UKIP are not a flash in the pan or a protect vote and both the Labour and Tory party should not be expecting to get those votes back anytime soon.

I know a few ex miners from Nottinghamshire who feel they could never in a million years vote Conservative for what they perceive Thatcher did to the mining industries. I have asked them in previous elections on who they would vote for and the answer was always Labour, when questioned why it was because my dad and his dad before him voted for them. Fair enough you think but it is sometimes selfish to vote simply because it 'is traditional', they really should have examined the issues. But as they pointed out why what's the point when they wouldn't vote Tory anyway.

Anyway some of them this time round voted UKIP. The tide is certainly changing direction.....

That said in parts of the North you could pin a red rosette on a donkey or even Stuart Hall and they would still get elected.

Cameron has grown a pair............

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-27653359

Quote:
Correspondents say Mr Cameron had made his views clear, at an informal EU summit earlier this week, that he wanted a reformer to take charge of the EU executive.

Der Spiegel says the British prime minister issued the warning to Angela Merkel during the meeting in Brussels.

Quoting "sources close to the participants" of the summit, the influential magazine said Mr Cameron told Chancellor Merkel that selecting Mr Juncker could destabilise his government to such an extent that an in-out referendum on Britain's EU membership would have to be brought forward.

Dave can rant all he likes but he ain't gonna change anything! The course has been set and we are mere passengers on the super highway to a European State unless Super Nige can do anything about it - Dave, The Weird One and Cleggie certainly won't.

Nick Clegg, the Deputy Prime Minister, defended freedom of movement within the EU.
Hundreds of thousands of British people benefit by going to live and work abroad elsewhere in the European Union.

I wonder Why they want to leave anyway, could it be their so fed-up with the way the country is being run?

This is a two-way thing,” he told the BBC.

He said he understood concerns about the lifting of restrictions on Romanians and Bulgarians, but insisted
that there would be no repeat of 2004,

when Britain opened its borders to Poles and other eastern Europeans,
prompting hundreds of thousands to come to the UK
.
