I watched the first few minutes but couldn't watch any more. Outrageous! Surely the couple could have had help to look after their baby (it's the second one that had been taken from them) |

Sunshine, your reaction was similar to mine and that of my wife - Sickening. I felt like my gut had been wrenched, my wife went into something approaching shock and tears. However I did watch it to the end. The shock was also very evident on the faces of Louise Collins and Brian Gerrish after the video and had returned to the studio. If you find the video too much you may like to pull the progress slider across until the video returns to the studio, then some very interesting facts and numbers are revealed. To think this is happening all over the UK is an outrage of the highest order. Something has to be done about it, but first we need to KNOW what is being done by those in authority. |

I have watched the entire video and also found it very disturbing. I thought they made some very valid points in the last 10 minutes about this has created another very generous 'trough' for various sections of the public sector (legal, medical and social services) to feed in. Westonman do you have any other facts about this case and the circumstances behind the judge granting the order? Maybe there is something we are not seeing here? After all if Paul Gadd were to have a baby with a partner then most of us would probably agree it would be in the child's best interests if he/she was removed. This of course would be an easy judgement to make. Maybe the father was a convicted paedophile or axe murderer we simply don't know. Maybe the mother was simply too depressed to be able to look after her children properly (without the correct support) and they have taken them to justify the existence of the 'trough' I mention above? And the reason is alluded to in the video and has to do with the secrecy of the family courts. Yet another reason why the independence of the free press must never be interfered with. Interesting web site (the people who broke this story) and one I have added to my reading list.... http://www.ukcolumn.org/ |

Geezer, No, I have no more facts on this particular case. A number of questions are crying out to be answered by the 'authorities' though. Questions that no honest, respectable, genuine public servants should be afraid to answer in open court. Why is the decision to remove a child from its birth parents taken in-private court, without the press and a jury present.? What are the authorities trying to hide? The authorities are constantly telling us that we 'have nothing to fear unless we have something to hide'. Why shouldn't the same apply to the child-stealing authorities. If they have a genuine case then they should have the confidence to present their case in open court. The secrecy surrounding these cases is outrageous and totally unacceptable. If one, or both of the parents do present a real and present danger to a child, then why shouldn't the facts be out in the open? The father in the video was clearly asking the authority figures 'why were the parents a threat', but no answer was given. That failure to answer alone gives me real cause for concern. The shear hard-heartedness of the women present was utterly unnatural, especially for a woman who is a mother. The police officers, male and female, were also totally lacking in natural human compassion and decency. Something is very wrong when officials can cold-heartily arrive at a private home and forcibly remove a baby from its mother. And when the baby is only hours old the depths of human depravity is plunged to the incredible depths. Geezer, Have you seen these videos yet, they don't contain the visual horror of the above video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... 2010 report in the Telegraph... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/christopherbooker/7840626/Big-money-to-be-made-in-the-adoption-trade.html Quote: On June 3, a 17-year-old Staffordshire girl, living with her parents and seven months pregnant, was horrified to receive a letter which began: “Dear Corrinne, I am the new allocated social worker for your unborn child. We have serious concerns about your ability to care for your unborn baby. We are so worried that we intend on going to Court to apply for an Order that will allow us to place your baby with alternative carers.” This so shocked the family that they raised what money they could and, like many others faced with similar threats, escaped abroad, where they now live in circumstances hardly conducive to a happy delivery of their new child. Staffordshire social workers were also involved in the tragic case of Maureen Smith, the mother so desperate at the prospect of losing her two children that she fled to Spain, where she killed them before attempting suicide. As she wrote in her suicide note: “Social Services In Staffordshire and their policy of forced adoption are responsible for this.” These are just two instances of the vast, long-running tragedy which Bob Geldof, launching a report last December on the “barbaric” chaos of our family law system, called “state-sanctioned kidnap”, whereby social workers, abetted by family courts and an army of complicit lawyers and “experts”, routinely snatch children from loving parents to feed the maw of the adoption and fostering industry. Seems they have developed a whole cottage industry to feed off the taxpayers money available to the system.... |
