I've heard so many people lately say they've switched from real cigs to E-cigs and are saving truckloads of money. The interesting thing is that from what I've read on various forums, there is just nothing about e-cigarettes that is worse than a cup of coffee, yet politicians, particularly some Euro MPs, want to regulate and/or ban them and have in some cases raised the point that vast sums of taxation are going to be lost because of them. It seems the way the authorities will move in on them is by decreeing that they're "medicines", thus enabling them to enforce rules and regulations and control the sale etc etc.... I think this might just indicate that it was always really about tax, not health. |

I heard a snippet on the radio news yesterday about this and they are going to tax them or some cash grabbing exercise |

Apparently they want to limit the nicotine content to such a low level, no-one will want to buy them any more and they'll go back to the real thing. How mad is that?!! |

It all sounds a bit strange. I have never noticed anybody using an e cigarette when I've been out and about. |

Ask yourself why are nicotine gums, patches etc are so expensive, they should just cost pennies but are always priced at a proportion of the cost of cigarettes and you have to stand in the cough mixture (chemist/medicines/regulated items) queue to get them. The government is complicit in a price-fixing cartel. In the US it's even dafter, with the American Cancer Society lobbying against ecigs! http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2416185,00.asp The powers to be are worried they are about to take off big time.... They are looking to restrict supply and use until the can figure out how to regulate them for taxation.. Even the bloody EU are looking to bring in a regulatory framework. This will be one of the topics discussed at Bilderburg and how they can work out a worldwide response to it. One country going all out trying to regulate what is probably a harmless quit smoking prop would look rather stupid when the 'official reports' hit the news stands unless most nations are 'on-board' to suppress such reports. |
