I see Hayes swimming pool has now been demolished. And yesterday, a huge JCB was tearing down what was left of The Blue Anchor.

Standing in the middle of the pile of dust and bricks left behind is generally a nicer experience than being in a boozer in 'ayes. |

ah but what do you think/know will replace them? i imagine the new residents of said places will leave a lot to be desired ?  oh and it,s - 2 here in not so sunny Poland

It's rumoured that there will be a Lidl on half of the old swimming pool plot, the other half for housing. As for the site of the Blue Anchor, I'm not sure - would be interested to know. It was also rumoured that the Apni Rasoi restaurant would be converted into a hotel, not sure what happened to that plan? |

Can't see Lidl keeping it's site on the Uxbridge road then? 2 stores in such a close vicinity are not normally part of its business plan. Unless it is to become and Aldi? |
