Quote: Firebrand RMT union boss Bob Crow, 52, 'thought he just had the flu' hours before he died after suffering aneurysm and massive heart attack http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... paign=1490 It's always sad to hear of someone dying suddenly at a relatively young age and I'm sure his family and union members are devastated but in all honesty I found his bullying tactics as a union-based "class warrior" disagreeable and selfish. |

Big shock. He was an old fashioned union leader straight from central casting. |

Opinions will obviously be divided, but I have the utmost respect for anyone who stands by his principals and fights for what they believe to be right. Bob Crow certainly did that to the benefit of the union members he led. I wonder how many of his critics would be happy to settle for the proliferation of minimum wage jobs and zero hours contracts which are fast becoming the norm in our country ? |

He was a throw-back to "the old days" of bullying unions who only thought about themselves and damn everyone else. Yes, he was successful, he got tube train drivers a salary of £46K increasing to £52k in 2015 plus free travel but only by resorting to strikes and intimidation. He was a left-winger who in typical fashion could see nothing wrong in earning £145K a year plus expenses yet still live in a council subsidised house that could be occupied by a more deserving low-income family. Having said all that I did have a sneaking regard for the man who contrasted strongly with our bland politicians mouthing their weasel words. R.I.P Bob Crow. |

A few more Bob Crows might have stemmed the tide of the neo-liberal nightmare that we find ourselves in, a proper Left Winger, not the sort who rise through the ranks of the 'Labour' Party aka The Red Tories. |

On all the forums I scan daily I'm struggling to find anyone with a good word for him. The fact that he brought misery to millions of Londoners annually with his outrageous demands under threat of strike seems to now be bringing out the truth in peoples perception. He was a throwback to the 70's with the likes of Red Robbo who wrecked the UK car industry |

I another era I'd have been totally against him, but maybe there's a place for honest lefties who stand up for the workers. |

I'm neither a Left-wing nor a Right-wing supporter; in my opinion both extremes end in the same a place – a vicious dehumanised dictatorship. But I do admire the tenacity, courage, and conviction with which Bob Crow fought his corner. I believe we desperately need knowledgeable men and women of integrity, courage, and conviction who are ready and willing to stand up for truth, righteousness, and justice; all of which are in very short supply in this age of centrally directed evil liberalism. Bob Crow was able to successfully drive his arguments through the dense walls of fascist corporate greed and indifference that plague us today. I didn't always agree with Bob Crow, but he did stand firm for the things he believed in. Not like the spineless fascist political elite of the LibLabCon that we have to endure these days. The only threefold convictions any of them seem to demonstrate are: 1:Their treasonable obedience to the faceless directors of the one-world globalist plan to subjugate the whole world. 2:Their relentless and unjustified greed. 3: An apparently insatiable lust for every abomination. A Bob Crow with a heart transplant would be very welcome – maybe in the style of Oliver Cromwell. |

I agree Father Ted. As much as I disagreed with a lot he said and did he was at least a force to be reckoned with who spoke with a "genuine" feel for the workers he represented. I guess Len McCluskey will now be the next bogey man of choice. |
