Lutfur Rahman, the extremist-linked mayor of Tower Hamlets, narrowly won re-election last night – by 52 per cent to 48 after second preferences – with the help of a repertoire of tactics for which the borough has become notorious.

Promises of a police presence at every polling station were not kept, at least for the whole of the day, and even where police were present they were often ineffectual. Large and intimidating groups of Rahman supporters picketed the entrances to many polling stations, remonstrating with some voters who refused to take Rahman leaflets. Other non-Rahman voters may well have decided not to run the gauntlet

TOWER HAMLETS, EAST LONDON – Tower Hamlets Council in East London has been accused of breaking its pre-election pledge to stop "enthusiastic campaigners" from standing outside polling stations, something the Returning Officer John Williams, who is in charge of electoral integrity, described as "intimidating for people".

This is what happens when you get a tiny vote attendance. The ones who wanted him back in ensured they voted whilst the rest stayed at home. From what I understand Hillingdons turn out was only in the high 30% area.

Apathy and you deserve what you get.

Hours after taking control of the government and arresting David Cameron, British Army chiefs issued arrest warrants for 300 radical Muslim subversives in the UK. The dramatic but not totally surprising move comes after the recent hacking to death of Drummer Lee Rigby by Islamic extremists in broad daylight in the middle of London.

In a statement calling for the preservation of Britain and praising its great defiant people, military leaders said they could no longer stand by and witness the treason and corruption inflicted on the nation. Further arrest warrants for regime journalists, many at the BBC, and politicians were being prepared this afternoon as a statement from the combined Police Services appeared to support the military.

Widespread political dissatisfaction, media corruption and corporate looting and fraud has lead to an almost total collapse in confidence in the government amongst the British people. Many of whom regard the highly unpopular mass immigration policy as a race to replace them before they can replace their leaders.
