These sorts of cases are heart wrenching and I can't begin to imagine the frustration of people on the wrong end of wrong and seemingly inexplicable decisions who feel totally powerless.
Hi ... Just to explain why I think the above quote is 'meaningful' especially the words '
totally powerless'.
Somewhere in what I have read by following the links at the start of this thread, I saw something to the effect that people who may be regarded as whistleblowers are somehow at risk of losing their credibility and livelihoods.
Those people are then totally powerless because no credibility and no financial stability means no chance of going to Law.
Those circumstances will then cause frustration for people because they live knowing that they can never find a satisfactory conclusion to end their misery, discontent and in some cases, what could turn out to be injustice if proved.
The quoted sentence above is so meaningful, I think, because, if there were more people in positions of professional authority, say MP's, who thought the same way, at least some people who are powerless may find help without fear of persecution.
