From the Telegraph: Quote: LORD Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, has revealed that he spends 40 minutes a day squatting and reciting an Eastern Orthodox prayer while performing breathing exercises influenced by Buddhism. He also prostrates himself as part of an early-morning ritual of silent meditation. The former archbishop gave a glimpse of his personal devotions in an article for the New Statesman. No wonder the established "church" is in such a sorry state. An Archbishop who was not only a druid but now it turns out was also inspired by Buddha. |

There are a lot of these kinds of practices going on right across the churches these days. Yoga, 'contemplative meditation', mysticism, Buddhism, 'centering prayer' or 'breath prayers', 'walking the labyrinth', and 'opening up oneself to the spirit world' are becoming increasingly popular, and very common in many churches these days. These practices are part of the so-called church that describes itself as the “emergent church” and “New Age church”, it is occultic. Along with the “emergent church” practices you generally find the same types of 'churches' also have an unhealthy adoration and worship of the 'environment' – Mother Earth – Gaia, and a commitment to the 'Green Agenda'. The whole idea that a 'church', or anybody else, can “save the planet” by going 'green' is contrary to sound Biblical teaching. The Bible clearly describes the events and moral conditions of mankind leading up to the last days of this age; and 'going green' has nothing to do with saving the planet from the situation and events described within the pages of the Bible. Druidic, Buddhist, New Age, and Emergent archbishops, pastors, elders, deacons, etc. in the 'churches'; are, when measured against what the the Bible teaches, clearly indicating that they are false prophets and deniers of Biblical Truth. When the established 'church' unashamedly admits to such occultic practices it really is no surprise that we have a political class that has no moral compass; a Prime Minister who openly boasts of his pride in redefining marriage in order to accommodate what the Bible describes as an “abomination” is the inevitable result of a 'church' that has lost its saltiness. The truth is, the Biblical description of the Last Days is rapidly taking shape before our eyes – and 'going green' is not going to improve the outcome – in fact 'going green', or worshipping the creation rather than the Creator, is working towards the Biblical description of the Last Days of this age. Another major failure of the 'emergent church' and the 'green church' is: they are basically practising a form of 'salvation' by works, whereas the Bible teaches that there is only one salvation from sin, only one way to the Father, only one way to eternal life - and that is by FAITH in the atoning work of grace that Jesus Christ, The Son of God, wrought for us upon the Cross at Calvary - a FAITH, that when genuine, results in a profound repentance by the hearer of the true Gospel towards Almighty God The Creator. |
