Not totally unexpected bearing in mind Carswell's views on the EU, but good news all the same ...

Quote:
Tory MP Douglas Carswell defects to Ukip and forces byelection
Eurosceptic MP says he is resigning from parliament and standing for Ukip at a byelection in his Essex seat of Clacton

What he said in the press briefing abut Cameron and the Tories is a mirror image of what has been said here for ages.

Cameron isn't listening and what is being promised before elections just doesn't happen.

Good on him. I do hope they vote for him and not the party.

Cameron is relying on scaring people with the useless labour boogyman and the useless labour boogey man is relying on being voted in for for not being the Tories.

Time for a rocket up both their arrses.

Cameron will not commit to a position where he will recommend an exit for the UK if he is unable to get concessions at re-negotiation. Nick Robinson asked him for this again yesterday and again he bottled it.

Unless they can get concessions where they can spin a campaign around a yes stop in vote, there will not be a referendum.

Negotiations are going so well all of Europe's leaders are lining up outside Downing Street to make their offers to keep the UK in.

It is easy to see why there will not be a referendum, Carswell can see this and has jumped. There will be others in the coming Months.

Cameron, Miliband,,and Clegg are blue-blooded Europhiles; and whatever they suggest or say to the contrary are bare-faced lies. All three of them continually offer us “CHANGE”- but they will not define what that “CHANGE” means. We can only extrapolate what that “CHANGE” means from what we've seen over the last few decades – and the picture doesn't look very inviting.

The LibDem Party is 100% a Europhile party. Labour is as close to being a 100% Europhile party as makes no difference. The excuse for a Conservative Party is probably about 80% a Europhile party; even the behaviour of the small percentage of non-Europhiles in that party isn't encouraging.

So really, we have NO choice but be part of the EU dictatorship while any one of the LibLabCon form the administration. Any choice you believe you have at the polls is a sham – a total charade.

UKIP are extremely unlikely to have any significant influence over the next 'government'. And since November the 1st (in two months time) is the date that the EU takes control of all one-time European national governments, we can be certain that there will then be no way back from the EU dictatorship – because Westminster will have been effectively disarmed, had its teeth removed – or even have been abolished.

We should be prepared for living under a brutal dictatorship where the gloves will have been taken off. If a ring of steel can be quickly installed around Cardiff (the capital of Wales) with little or no opposition, then we should be prepared for similar actions against us over a much wider area.
