I know I shouldn't, but I do occasionaly log onto FaceAche. I am heartily sick and tired of seeing videos of attention seekers pouring buckets of cold water over themselves allegedly to raise money for charity. I make regular modest donations to my chosen charities privately and quietly, I don't need someone nominating me to do that. I can't help wondering just how many of these folk actually make a donation at all, let alone a regular one. |

I totally agree Moley. Another example of the internet Lemming effect. A girl at work poured water over her 10 month old baby's head when bathing it, obviously on video, saying it was for charity. To be fair, the baby didnt seem to mind, but that's when I thought this is now stupid (in fact, I have always thought it stupid) I think they should now do the boiling hot water challenge. Much more entertaining! |

>>>>>Look Look Its Me I am over here, I can do this Too<<<<<<< Big Brother and the X Factor and Briton's got Talent crowd all rolled into one. The fact they have just raised the terror threat level another notch means they have intelligence that something is afoot. They say not but they would would wouldn't they!! Will be lost on most as the X Factor starts again tomorrow... (I read it on another forum!!) |

The only purpose of a bucket of ice water is to keep the beer cold! |

If you don't like X-Factor you always watch someone bake a cake instead... ...Oh God ! |

If you responded to all these telly ads for £2 or £3 a month you could end up in debt. Most know that the money rarely gets to where it's supposed to go and more likely into the hands of middle men and administration or in the extreme, weapons. I hate being approached in shopping centres by these chuggers. Ruins the whole experience. |

SOT wrote: Lovely! How proud these parents must have been to post this online That was doing the rounds on faceache a few days ago.... The usual suspects were 'liking' it....... The young girls is probably of an age where she would not have formed a full vocabulary yet anyway. For her to be able to use such guttural swear words as such an age simply serves to show the frequency they must be being used in the home for her to pick them up!! Bad parenting? I think undoubtedly using such language around kids when they are forming their words. Neglect? Maybe but then when multiple 11 year old girls can be raped and abused and plod is not interested in dealing with it what chance do you have of educating bad parents about this sort of thing? Plod or social services clearly cannot be trusted. Have noticed in the last few days again via faceache that plod have not been too busy to set up their scamera points in various places across the Country. Clearly harassing motorists who made be 3 or 4 miles an hour over the speed limit is more important than investigating multiple child abuse and rape. |

Selfies, ice buckets - what next for the pathetic self-publicists? Why not loaded revolver to the temple, 5 bullets, one empty chamber, now that would be interesting for these self-obsessed freaks! |

Awww, come on, it's a bit of harmless summer fun, though as Moley suggests, I really, really doubt that many of those taking part are actually donating anything to anyone. |
