Yet another study has shown 30 YEARS OF GOVERNMENT ADVICE AND HECTORING on fats such as cheese and butter has been WRONG and, scandalously, was based on NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE. See today's Mail and Express front pages.

This is just the latest study to reveal this.

Here's a good article on the true benefits of butter - and dangers of margarines:

Always the way.

When I was a kid ice lollies were bad for your teeth but ice cream was OK. That was reversed some time later.

Here we have yet another example of how readily officialdom will lie to us without even blushing.

The opening paragraph of the article linked to by Jon equally applies to the anti-CO2 lies, deceit and myths supplied by officialdom surrounding the man-made global warming/climate change scam.
Quote:
...they infiltrated the movement and put a few sinister twists on information going out to the public. Item number one in the disinformation campaign was the assertion...(it should then read): that CO-2 is a pollutant poison, when in fact it is an essential plant food.

The woman behind the butter study wad on Radio 4 just now. She was fantastic! Government health officials have already said her research was talking about the past and all the evidence now shows fat is bad for you. She totally demolished that and said there is still NO evidence of that, the evidence shows that fats are essential and she said the mass switch to replacements over the past 30 years is probably the reason for the explosion in obesity. No doubt she'll have to face a campaign of character assassination now and will probably find herself out of a job.

Jon, what was the name of the R4 programme, I would like to try and find it on catch-up.

I must admit I've never eaten healthily. I hate fruit and never touch it apart from bottled juices but I do like a good pile of chips or roasties.

I'm over 60, never had any health issues, never been a hospital in patient so I do agree some if not all of it is a load of old bunkum and your lucky or unlucky.

It may or may not be a load of old bunkum, but surely the issue is; can we ever trust and believe what officialdom tells us – especially politically linked officialdom, which has a vast record of lies, secrecy, and deceit surrounding it?

The human caused climate change/global warming dogma claims that CO2 causes a rise in global temperature. However, there is plenty of evidence to suggest that a rise in global temperature results in higher CO2 levels in the atmosphere because the oceans release trapped CO2 when temperatures rise. Increased levels of CO2 in the atmosphere is the effect of rising temperature – not the cause.

A similar situation appears to exist with the “high cholesterol causes blocked arteries” dogma. This dogma assumes that a high fat/cholesterol diet increases the risk of blocked and hardened arteries. However, a closer look at cholesterol in the blood indicates that the blood cholesterol level rises when there is damage/injury to the body. Increased levels of cholesterol in the blood is the healing effect - and not the cause.

Cholesterol appears to be an essential part of the body's immune system, an essential function of the healing process. Since the body is constantly repairing itself it is reasonable to see varying quantities of cholesterol in the blood, depending on the particular repair needs at any one time. And since no two of us are the same, and no two of us lead the same life-styles, it would seem to be unreasonable to set a tightly defined safe/dangerous level of cholesterol in the blood of the population as is currently laid down by officialdom.

The brain consists of >90% cholesterol; cholesterol is essential for a healthy brain. Since the “lower cholesterol” dogma has been widely propagated by officialdom the incidences of dementia in the population also appears to have increased – whether the two are linked is for us to question.

But I can't trust politically linked officialdom to provide the truth. It was politically linked officialdom that advised, and continues to advise GPs to prescribe “cholesterol lowering” statins to ever increasing proportions of the population. I was one of those prescribed statins; and statins have left me with damaged and painful muscles; another example of politically linked officialdom either not knowing what it is doing – or not caring what it does to us.

The situation surrounding officially recommended low fat/cholesterol diet and statins to reduce blood cholesterol levels becomes even more disturbing when we understand that the liver produces cholesterol in response to the healing needs of the body – diet has little or no effect on the blood cholesterol level. Statins effectively switch off the liver from producing and releasing essential healing cholesterol into the blood supply; which could explain why so many people taking statins suffer all kinds of pains and disabilities.

A killer conversation for me was with a senior nurse at my GP's medical centre. I was questioning the use of statins, and flu-jabs, the nurse readily relied with, “ I would never take statins or have the flu-jab.
